SSSO – Concert I: REALIZE (Proctors)
The SSSO kicks of their 91st season with an appearance at Zankel Music Center and Proctors! This program features soloist Lisa Leonard in Prokofiev’s “Piano Concerto #3,” Adamo’s “Overture to Lysistrata” and Respighi’s “Fontana di Roma” and “Pini di Roma.”
This concert on Sunday, October 20 will be held at Proctors.
Don’t miss the pre-concert talk with Leonard and Artistic Director/Conductor Glen Cortese at 2 p.m. at Proctors! It’s an excellent way to learn more about the music and an opportunity to ask questions about the performance. All are invited to attend.
Tickets are $17–$24. Children under 18 are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Pianist Lisa Leonard has appeared on four continents with orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center and the Simon Bolivar Orchestra with Gustavo Dudamel. Over the past two seasons, she gave five world premieres including performances across Italy and Peru and received a lifetime achievement award from the National Society of Arts and Letters of Florida. She is the head of the Graduate Instrumental Collaborative Piano Program at Lynn University where she directs the annual New Music Festival, now in its 19th year. Read her full bio here.
