ICFS Women’s History Month: But I’m A Cheerleader (1999)

Thursday, March 27, 2025

Following her breakthrough with this fabulous film, director Jamie Babbit turned her attention toward television (“Only Murders in the Building;” “Girls;” “Gilmore Girls”), but her cinematic calling card is not to be missed! Natasha Lyonne stars as a naive teenager who gets sent to rehab camp when her straitlaced parents and friends suspect her of being a lesbian. Michelle Williams, Bud Cort, Mink Stole and RuPaul – out of drag – co-star. Rated R. 85 minutes.
