A slanted seat, a poking spring, that fidgeting patron seated in front of you…

We heard you and recognized that our seats were uncomfortable. They were worn out from years of heavy use and did not provide the level of comfort you, our audience members, expect and deserve.

The bottom line was simple…it was time to completely replace over 2,500 seats.

In the summer of 2019, we installed new seats in the MainStage theatre at a cost of $1.7 million. They offer a modern level of comfort while still matching the historic character and uplifting design of the theatre. Your donation ensures their longevity. In return for your tax deductible $500 donation, a brass plate with your inscription (up to 23 characters per line, 3 lines total) will be placed on the armrest of your choosing. Buying a seat can be a thoughtful way to honor a family member, friend, group or company.
